У нее сейчас идет активный набор в группы, и если вы вдруг в наших краях, советуйте всем вокруг себя. Мне кажется, она на сотни километров вокруг такая одна. Я долго могу говорить много хорошего, но лучше посмотрите картины, они заменяют тысячи слов.

(ENG) Today’s post is special—I’m sharing the works of the artist Marcia Klioze. I’ve spent at least a hundred hours in her studio, trying to absorb at least a fraction of her experience, knowledge, and skills. She’s currently actively enrolling people into her groups, and if you happen to be in our area, I advise you and everyone around you to consider it. I believe she’s one of a kind within hundreds of miles. I could go on about her virtues for a long time, but it’s better to look at the paintings themselves; they speak a thousand words.

(ENG below) Еще интересная художница, Maria Bertrain, из Венесуэлы, живет в США. У нее работы премущественно plain air, без людей, но насколько же классно передана игра света и цвета! Я тут сфоткать цветующие деревья не могу так, как их мои глаза видят (и расстраиваюсь, потому что сейчас самое время), а на картинах передавать настроение — это отдельный талант.

(ENG) Another interesting artist is Maria Bertrain from Venezuela, who lives in the USA. Her works are predominantly plein air, without people, but the way she conveys the play of light and color is amazing! I struggle to capture blooming trees as my eyes see them (and get upset because now is the perfect time), but conveying mood in paintings is a separate talent.

Обратите внимание на selective focus, разделение главного и второстепенного, на экспрессию и динамику, на то, какими простыми на первый взгляд средствами передаются сложные концепты.

Некоторая зацикленность на чувственных девушках в картинах, но кто сказал, что это плохо 🙂 Из минусов: так как очень плодовитый, в интернете слишком много его творений, вперемешку интересных и так себе, при чем так себе больше, и интересные растворяются.

(ENG) Another interesting contemporary artist, Malcolm Liepke. There’s a certain fixation on sensual girls in his paintings, but who says that’s a bad thing 🙂 On the downside: because he’s very prolific, there are too many of his creations online, a mix of interesting and so-so pieces, with the latter prevailing, and the interesting ones getting lost in the shuffle.

(ENG below) Мы все знаем Пикассо как художника со странными картинами. Кто-то с ума сходит от кубизма и абстрактного искусства, но я таких высот еще не достиг, поэтому сегодня будет подборка от Пикассо, что не попадает в мою категорию “странные”, но попадает в категорию “нравится”. По ним видно отлично, что Пикассо «умел, но не хотел». В отличие от некоторых других, которые не хотят, но и не могут. Подмешиваю один портрет Пикассо авторства Дали (там Пикассо на меня смахивает, или наоборот)

(ENG) We all know Picasso as an artist with unusual paintings. Some are fascinated by cubism and abstract art, but I have not yet reached those heights. Therefore, today, I am sharing a collection from Picasso that doesn’t fall into my “strange” category, but into the “like” category. These works clearly show that Picasso had the traditional skills but deliberately chose not to use them throughout the most of his career. Unlike some others who have never had them. I’ll also include a portrait of Picasso by Dalí (where Picasso resembles me, or vice versa).

(ENG see below) Еще один интересный художник, Mark Tennant. Живет в Сан-Франциско, уже дедушка (72). Мне вот такой минимализм нравится — когда деталей ровно сколько, сколько нужно для создания впечатления, и не больше. Обычные сцены из жизни американской молодежи, но очень динамичные и лаконичные в своем исполнении. Кстати, интересно, что AI хуже справляется с пониманием что изображено на таких полотнах. Хороший тест на робота:) но справляется всё-таки

Here’s another interesting artist, Mark Tennant. He lives in San Francisco (age of 72 already). I really like this kind of minimalism—when there are exactly as many details as needed to create an impression, and no more. Ordinary scenes from the life of American youth, but very dynamic and succinct in their execution.
