Хэппи пёсдэй, Юки! Годик. Мы ему подарили кусок ветки дерева (за десять баксов), кусок из пластмассы, напоминающий ветку дерева видом и запахом (за десять баксов), и нормальную кость. Он сегодня метался между всеми тремя, не зная что выбрать. А вечером мы сходили в Morven Park в самый ливень, чтобы жизнь малиной не казалась.

Тут не только про атомную бомбу, а в целом про путь к атомной отрасли, с проблемами и решениями. Ну и про бомбу тоже. У Марка вообще весь канал интересный, все преимущественно для взрослых мальчиков.

I found a great app for iOS: PiPifier. It is a Safari extension that lets you use every HTML5 video in Picture in Picture mode — even Youtube’s which normally doesn’t allow that. PiP means that you can listen to/watching Youtube music in the background. It will continue playing if you leave Safari or Youtube App. Normally background playing is a paid feature (part of Youtube Music). I listen to youtube while driving, so background playing helps a lot.
I always thought I can explain how anything in the world is built, at least to some extent. I always thought that I knew how machine learning works. I was even creating a chess recognition app which worked well. But the latest news from that area are really shocking. I can’t explain how the trained models can produce such wonderful results.
Look, this model explains the jokes and untwines the stories. I feel like I am being fooled. It’s too good to be true.

Today I learned that there is Cebuano Wikipedia which has over 6 million articles, making Cebuano the foreign language after English with the most content on the wiki. Most of the articles were created by the bot called Ljsbot. Most of these are machine-translated articles with little to no quality control but still 🙂 6.5M articles – just a bit fewer articles than English. Sverker Johansson has got a great achievement point in his CV.
Also I found that there is a most published author named Philip Parker. He has published over 85,000 books, each of which is completed in less than an hour using algorithms. Parker published the automated books through Icon Group International, using several Icon group subheading. Most of Parker’s automatically generated books target niche markets such as medicine. This is a cedar-apple rust fungus (кедрово-яблочный гниющий гриб). Just photographed it after rain pouring down all the night. After rain, the fungus turns orange and shows its swollen spore-bearing horns. Before rain, while it grows, it looks like a coronavirus, a ball reddish-brown cones with spikes (see the photograph in comments). The botanic name is Gymnosporangium juniperi-virginianae

– apple watch strongly suggests that walking a dog is a workout for me
– I don’t let my dog go out to our backyard after dark. Because it is too late
У Нади сегодня день рождения. Ну может и не восемнадцать, но где-то в том районе. По крайней мере, в душе.
И пока она где-то на йоге, я вот залип на наши с ней фотки в телефоне.
Делаю что могу, чтобы каждый год у нее получался хотя бы немножечко счастливее предыдущего, и в жизни появлялось все больше и больше ярких красок и впечатлений 😉 хоть это и довольно приятное занятие для нас обоих, порция случая и везения всегда присутствует. Вот чтобы не было всегда достаточно! А так, мы вроде радуемся в целом одним и тем же вещам.
Собственно, желаю не сбавлять темпы! Даже не знаю кому желаю, день рождения вроде у нее, а желаю нам обоим. Потому что темпы у нас тесно переплетённые. А Наде желаю поменьше переживаний, особенно в ее волейбольно-тренерской жизни. Это неимоверно трудно в спорте, но всё-таки;)
